adventures

I recently read an article about Mormon mom blogs. The author, who is not LDS, admitted that she has an addiction to these blogs. She explained that she reads them not because she has an interest in our religion, but because they are uplifting! And after a long, hard day at work, she enjoys reading about their lives and their families and remembering how beautiful life is. I loved that. Then I immediately felt guilty for not keeping a better record of my life or for sharing my thoughts. I should be expressing gratitude for my life, my family and friends and bearing my testimony, not only to share with others but for reminding myself of the beauty and joy that is found in the simplicity of every day life.

So here it goes. My thought for the day:
Life is an adventure... made up of little and big adventures we experience every day! We are meeting new people, trying new things, playing new games, having new thoughts, etc. every day, that make up this grand adventure we call life. Sometimes I forgot this simple truth and I say to myself "I need to go on an adventure." And while that is a perfectly fabulous thing to say to yourself and to do, I should also be acknowledging the adventures I have every day (the ones I have at work, in the car, at the store... the new things that happen when I'm doing everyday things.)
