my day in a nutshell. feb 25.

1. despite my internal alarm clock going off at 7:30am, i slept until 9.

glorious.

2. prepared my green smoothie and waited for my fellow adventurers to arrive.

3. adventurer #1 - tjab - showed up and only desired to play "ships."

{otherwise known as battleship}

and proclaimed he was the bag guy and i was the good guy.

sweet.

4. we wrapped his friends' birthday present.

5. finally adventurer #2 - princess4 - arrived and we were on our way!

6. on our drive:

tjab learned that train sounds mean "i love you."

tjab told us he wanted a rainbow cake for his birthday.

{i am making it and princess4 is bringing it to the party, that we are thankfully invited to}

we discussed tjab's soap-opera life - having jill love him when he loves emily.

it's tough being 4.

tjab explained why he loved emily.

{he loves her mainly because he's going to marry her}

oh and he wants a bat cave and a bat-mobile for his birthday...

in 4 months.

7. we arrived at our adventurous destination!

beyond glazed!

tjab wanted us to buy every donut that had green on it.
we just bought 3 of them.
{mint chocolate, key lime and cherry limeade - which he loved}

maple bacon donut? yes. quite good.
except we like our bacon warm.

oreo cream filled? um... YES!

8. we drove around playing i-spy while trying to find a pet store,

but before we found one, princess4 found a more interesting experience for us.

a tour of a fire truck.

tjab was excited.

then scared.

then cold.

then tried to run away.

then got excited when he was invited to sit in the driver's seat.

he really liked honking the horn and was intrigued by the manual window.

was inquisitive about the buttons and knobs.

then was cold again so we headed for the car.

we were excited too...

9. we found a pet store and looked at all the cool animals.

he found the pictures of the animals most interesting.

10. we drove past the temple on our way home.

i love hearing insights from 4 yr olds. mainly tjab.

11. after driving around for a bit, we dropped him off at the birthday party.

{this was about the time my nail beautiful nail broke}

12. princess4 and i watched "who do you think you are?" and cried.

13. princess4 told me all about tonsil stones.

14. we examined each other's tonsils.

15. we discovered princess4 has a big tongue.

16. we convinced princess4 hubs to go to smash burger.

17. we picked up princess3.

not before i played chauffeur for princess4 and her hubs.

headed for smash burger 

and made it just in time for half-price shakes!

{and i paid for my food not just in cash, but basically all change. impressively old school.}

which unfortunately weren't that good...

what can we say? we're oreo princesses.

18. after a quick stop at hobby lobby for princess3,

princess3 and i split from princess4 and her hubs.

19. princess3 and i stopped by target... which is a little ghetto during this remodel.

and after 30 min of searching we finally found the tights we were looking for.

and then the check out employee didn't understand my funny comment.

21. "modern family"

1. today was a lazy day.

2. i worked all day.

3. refused to take a picture of my medicine cabinet for february's photo a day.

mainly because not much in it is mine.

secondly, i didn't want to clean it out just to take a picture of it.

4. i finally downloaded the "hang with friends" game.

princess3 is just as obsessed with it as i am with scramble.

let's see how good i am at hang man!

5. after talking with a co-worker about my frustration with a lack of

 cool, random and interesting

{yes i require all three}

restaurants, stores, events, etc. in utah, she told me about beyond glazed.

plans are being made to go.

and i'm thinking many lives will be changed.

6.  oh and i procrastinated my online traffic school.

my day in a nutshell. feb 23.

1. had a yummy green smoothie for breakfast.

followed by fruits and veggies for snacks.

2. participated in lots of great meetings at work.

3. today during lunch i took my beloved vintage shoes to be fixed

AND

i made a final trip to our nordstrom before it closes tomorrow.

sad day.

4. returned to work, to work some more, to work late.

5. thank you cafe rio for being so yummy.

thank you green smoothie for not allowing me to eat too much cafe rio.

6. went to institute. late, but i still made it there!

after a long day it is time for sleep.

my day in a nutshell. feb 22.

1. today i began my whole "eating healthier" plan.

and it went very well.

2. i started the day with a delicious, but disgusting looking "green-ish" smoothie.

that thing literally filled me up so much that i had no desire/need for anything else.

but i managed to get in some delicious fruit and veggie snacks and water.

it was wonderful, but definitely an adjustment.

3. plane ticket purchased!

officially going to ca to see princess2, princess2hubs and melex!

4. it makes me very happy that princess2 does not judge my oa planning...

in fact, she joins in! how joyous!

i sent her about a thousand places to eat, things to see/do, etc.

and she organized them by day and level of interest.

she is amazingly brilliant!

5. i love being completely invested at work.

today i worked 11 hrs, which is fairly common, at these lovely offices.

6. went to institute and learned about learning to recognize the spirit --

which has kind of been a reoccurring theme for the past couple weeks...

coincidence? probably not.

7. although it was a little late, i had dinner, 

discussed politics and eventually went to bed...

a little late.

my day in a nutshell. feb 21.

1. got to work early for the reveal of our bieberland 

to our newly returned out-of-town co-worker.

2. it was perfect! take a look.

we use our art department well.

again... a very good use of our art department...

and this is why we all love this woman.

3. i made an important decision today.

i've decided to eat healthier.

in fact, the goal is to do a detox cleanse next week.

but for this week, i'm just eating more fruits and veggies.

my vegetarian friend, alyssa from work, 

sent me to sunflower market to begin my transformation.

but i didn't go alone...

4. kali and i walked through the aisles, filling up our carts with beautiful produce.

for a moment i felt like i was back in wegmans (well, a small wegmans)

5. after getting home, i prepped all of my delicious new foods.

it may not look as amazing as it is.
take my word for it, it's beautiful.

6. made a deliciously simple dinner from those goodies.

the coke in the back is not healthy and therefore, not part of my dinner.

happy president's day!

1. to celebrate today, i went to work... 

all day.

2. while the parents went to the jazz game,

princess4 and her hubs came over.

3. we had delicious taco salad and

watched "the voice" (even though we don't fully understand it)

*also, dear "the voice," you shouldn't emotionally attach

 us to people who don't get chosen.

it's dumb.

 4. we ended the night with a game of life.

but then we took the game to a completely different level.

*fortunes*

brilliant. couldn't be more pleased.

i already have my degree. what should be next?

my day in a nutshell. feb 19.

1. after waking up approximately 17 times last night, 

i got up, got ready, went through my talk and got to church early.

2. gave my talk alongside two wonderful people.

ashley is one of the strongest and most real girls i know.

chris testified. no better way to say it.

what a beautiful sacrament meeting!

and what a blessing to be a part of it!

3. my stomach growled a lot.

and there was no food in my purse!

4. i saw the coolest tie i've ever seen at church.

it looked like this.

obviously fitting since tomorrow is president's day... ?

5. i love president uchtdorf's talk "you matter to him."

so happy to be reminded of it today.

6. introduced lindsey {my ward roomie} to scramble with friends.

you'd think i could have more self control. but no, it's way too fun.

7. found some candy in my pocket! breakfast!
and shared with new friends.

8. attended ward council.

i love ward council. 

i love hearing how much our leaders care about the individuals in the ward.

i love participating in the work.

and that room is wonderfully warm.

seriously, it makes me really happy.

9. my visiting teachers visited me.

and i have now decided that my future children may not jump on trampolines...

no broken growth plates for them.

10. got princess3 to play scramble with friends with me...

again, it's that fun.

11. the padre is obsessed with pinterest.

our dinner mainly consisted of new recipes from that blessed website.

 as the padre talked about everything he found.}

it was the cutest thing ever.

13. tjab kept turning me into animals 

until i stole the wand and turned him into a few things...

14. tjab and i killed some dragons and

after dinner we sang some songs, acted out "goldilocks"

{one of tjab's favs}

and cuddled while we watched little einsteins.

15. did a little indexing.

not a bad sunday if you ask me.

16. except when one of my beautifully long nails broke a little.

despite the trauma, my grandma would be impressed at their length.

i'll try not to cry.

my day in a nutshell. feb 18.

1. woke up early and went to the temple.

2. pondered on my talk.

3. returned home to a delicious lunch complete with my favorite drink.

simply orange, orange juice.

in my favorite glass.

4. worked more on my talk for sunday.

5. met up with my hales at hatch family chocolates.

we also had several classy moments:

- when we first arrived we ran and hugged each other
 while my hair was still in curlers.

{we believe in cheesy,
would-be-slow-motion-reunitings-if-it-was-in-a-movie, moments}

and i had an afro as i took them out.

- while talking in the bathroom the lights turned off suddenly.

hales screamed.

we ran out of the bathroom.

pretty sure people were "concerned" about us.

- and old boyfriends were brought up.

some of us awkwardly ran around the store

 because of the uncomfortable/hilarious feelings inside us.

6. most importantly we began our backwards progressive dinner with dessert.

{chocolate ice cream and chocolate covered strawberries and raspberries}

their peanut butter chocolates with sea salt = to die for.

7. we continued our backwards progressive dinner at cafe shambala for mo-mo's.

so delicious.

8. we got in the car and drove to her uncle's new restaurant, pallet.

it is a beautiful, intimate restaurant, with a stellar vibe.

we liked very much.

hales, being classy at the chic restaurant opening.

9. her uncle insisted on us eating.

we agreed and planned on ending our backwards progressive dinner with an appetizer.

we definitely got more that an appetizer...

and didn't even come close to eating it all.

i will miss her. i don't like it when we aren't in the same state.

she is a great listener, very observant, and one of the greatest friends.

i hope i come close to being as good of a friend to her as she is to me.

1. got an amazing 80 pt word... against the padre.

2. took my car to renew my registration, oil change, emissions check, etc.

oh and pay for that whole "hitting a curb" incident.

i'm so excited to see those bonus points from my credit card!

3. after rearranging our desks at work the other day

random dance parties have become much more frequent...

4. as we have a co-worker out of town, we have been "decorating."

basically, the decorating and pranking has been epic and amazing.

everyone is in on it.

5. got my recipes together for our finer things club recipe exchange.

6. got to jessie's extremely early.

7. saw some of my favorite girls and we talked about food.

and banks. and budgeting.

and insurance. health and life.

and pregnancy. and babies.

you know... the usual.

1. kirsti and i recognized the consequences of our
 addiction to scramble with friends.

we think of making words while falling asleep at night and

sometimes i even struggle while texting because i worry that i won't be able

 to make the words because the letters aren't next to each other.

2. was so grateful to work with karla.
i learn so much from that sweet lady.

3. made delicious couscous and fresh tomatoes!

realized how going to church each sunday

 is a model of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

HAPPY V-DAY

what a wonderful time to tell my family and friends how much i love them!

i love my parents and

i love my fellow princesses.

i love the boys that love those princesses.

1. while at work i gave out valentines to all of my wonderful co-workers.

like i was in 3rd grade.

2. probably ate my weight in chips and salsa.

yep. even nicol was judging me.

4. went to the grocery store for the first time in about a month.

1. got to work early and passed out my

 pirate-themed valentines to my stellar co-workers.

sometimes i wish i was still in elementary school-- 

getting a whole paper heart folder full of valentines.

2. made kirsti play scramble with friends with me.

it's my new fav.

and i think i started to lose my touch today...

3. went with some of my stella co-workers to get pho.

we ordered like we were regulars.

4. so grateful melex taught me how to properly use chopsticks.

5. worked late.

1. woke up from the rain hitting my window.

what a beautiful way to wake up.

2. i officially love st. g weather.

3. i had forgotten how glorious soft water makes your hair feel...

but first it feels like there is still soap in there.

4. A gave a wonderful lesson on the creation.

5. i'm A's good friend! awww...

6. i did one of those solo laughs in relief society.

i thought it was a joke.

it wasn't.

7. had a lovely and delicious lunch with A and her momma,

while we watched "who do you think you are?"

and cried.

8. began my journey home.

10. spent the rest of the drive diligently going the speed limit,

while listening to adele and chicago to keep myself entertained.

2. found an amazing blue bench!

3. went to a historic mormon granary.

we were left up the honor code.

5. reminisced at my grandparents old home.

so many wonderful memories here. 

my grandma would always make us wear swim caps if we wanted to swim...

and the cover is only in russian.
very useful for people who speak danish and need to learn russian.

23. drove around trying to get hungry.

24. went to parfumania and smelled expensive things that we love.

25. we wandered around tjmaxx/home goods.

26. ate at smashburger, or smashbox as A calls it.

seriously, i could eat those sweet potato fries/ haystack onions for years.

27. rented a movie, got more ice cream, and headed back home to share our adventures with A's momma, prepare lessons/talks and have a movie night.

28. A kept wanting boy to cuddle with her.

he did not reciprocate her feelings.
