curlers

As I mentioned in my last post I tend to wear curlers out in public. Of course, this is temporary. I'm in a production called "Savior of the World" which tells the story of the birth and resurrection of Christ. It has been an amazing experience to participate this Christmas season! It is also required me to have curly hair. . . Which brings us back to the curlers and how I wear them in public. Sometimes I just don't have time to sit at home while I wait for those suckers to cool. So instead I run some errands (mostly the kind that I can stay in the car for).

Today was one of those days. I went to the drive thru at the bank with my hair in curlers. I prayed a girl, who would understand, would be the teller. No such luck. Instead a moderately attractive man was my teller. I then prayed this could be one of those quick bank transactions so if I ever ran into him he maybe would recognize me. Again, no such luck. Instead he saw on one of my checks the company I work for. He then began to chat with me about how his sister works there too! Oh goodness.

Why? Why on the day when my hair is in curlers does an attractive man want to chat with me? I embraced the experience. . . Kind of. . . And continued with my errands.

Apparently those curlers are guy magnets so don't worry, I took them off before I entered classy wal-mart land.
