my day in a nutshell. may 8.

today is my dear friend, bre's, birthday!

as her party was postponed...

or rather,

 her surprise party was no longer a surprise and then postponed,

 I decided to do the thing I have been putting off for a while.

*getting my license renewed*

it was a bittersweet moment.
&
quite the adventure!

1. I almost hit someone as i turned into the parking lot...

2. i've been spoiled for the past five years with

 a pretty amazing driver's license photo.

3. new picture = not as brilliant.

4. the lady next to me in line kept talking about how

 glad she was that she didn't have a phone...

as I watched the colbert report on my phone.

5. that same lady hit my head 4 times

 as she was trying to get stuff out of her purse.

 i kindly moved.

6. i got a little worried when i heard you have to take a test

 if you've gotten 4 or more tickets in the past 5 years...

phew. apparently i must be pretty good at getting out of tickets...

7. i now feel like a little newbie with a paper,

 temporary license.

8. my passport got some usage.

 the poor thing has just been sitting there for a while.

 i decided i need to use it again, and soon!
