WELCOME 2012!
As another new year has begun I have recognized something about myself. I, along with others, start to make a long list of things I want to start doing. This is definitely my over-achiever side. Of course, I might be really good at my resolutions for a while... but sooner or later I'm probably gonna miss a day... then feel really bad and give up. That's upsetting. I knew there had to be another way and I think I may have found it! Instead of worrying about making my long list and checking off my check boxes, I'm going to focus simply on happiness! I want to learn to spend my day making my choices based on what will make me happiest now and in the future. I think it's a pretty good plan. Focused and specific, but not specific enough that I easily fail. Yep. I'm gonna give this a try.
Now just comes the difficult task of making reminders for myself to do that. How do you do that? How do you continually remind yourself of something? As I look around my room I see so many quotes-- reminders of how I want to live and think. Is there a better way? Great ideas would be appreciated...
Besides that I welcome 2012 with open arms, knowing that it has a lot of wonderful things in store!
