nothing is better than spending time with the girls. and the only thing better than eating/shopping/talking with them is doing that twice in one day! yesterday I had breakfast with the girls from high school followed by lunch and shopping with two of my favorite sotw girls.
it was wonderful to see the girls from high school! some of us still live here, but some have moved away and others are about to so it was great to sit, eat, reminisce and get caught up on each others lives. I love the moments when the talk turns to babies and potty training and my cousin and I (both babyless) turn to each other, give a smile and then proceed to be involved with comments about my made up children, or in Mel's case, stories about the difficulties in potty training her dog, Annabelle. oh, how I love each of those girls! they are each such wonderful moms and have taught me so much! I wish I had kids just to make use of their wisdom! until then, I will make use of the other wisdom they have given about marriage. and until I'm able to use that wisdom, I'll apply what they have taught me about life.
after breakfast, three of us from sotw got together to, again, eat and discuss our plans for the new year. again surrounded by wonderful women and again being filled and enlightened by their words of wisdom. The talk of jobs, boys, goals, always entertaining and their insights, always helpful.

Katie earned the affection of a sweet puppy. I decided his name is Geronimo (named after the prominent Native American leader of the Chiricahua Apache who fought against Mexico and the US for their expansion into Apache tribal lands for several decades during the Apache Wars...) (for more on Geronimo...) |

Paula graciously became our clothing rack while we spontaneously tried on clothes in the middle of the store. |

And then I introduced them to anthro and they made their first anthro purchases... of which, I am very proud. |
what a blessing to have so many wonderful women in my life!
